Dedicated to the growth of reggae and dub music in the Midwest through the tradition of D.I.Y. sound system culture.
Steel Yard Soundsystem is a collective doing their part to continue the traditional ways of bringing reggae music to the people. Building large speaker boxes by hand, playing dub records new and old through a custom built pre-amp and control tower.
The Steel Yard Crew is poised to push forward soundsystem culture in diy warehouse venues and through partnerships with other culturally motivated community organizations.
