Riddimtion Sound

Riddimtion is a Roots, Reggae, Dancehall and Ragga Sound System based in Sheffield, UK. We promote and perform nationally and internationally, playing in pubs, clubs, parks, festivals and free parties.

Founded in 1999 by Rootsfella and Scragga Youth, Riddimtion has been growing from strength to strength ever since. Over the years, we have had the opportunity to work with and support artists such as Daddy Freddy, U-Brown, Roots Manuva, Winston Reedy, Trevor Walters, YT, Zion Train, Dub Dadda, Nucleus Roots, Blackout JA, Parly B and Abelwell – not forgetting all the DJ’s, singers and other Sound Systems we have played with from the UK and abroad. Riddimtion’s current full-time members are Rootsfella, Danny Roots and Ragàs Selecta. Although the crew has changed over time, Riddimtion’s aim will always be to stand up against segregation, racism and oppression through its musical message of Peace, Love, Unity and Understanding.
