Yarra Sound
Yarra Sound is the culmination of a deep passion for Reggae and afro-caribbean music from the 50s to the present day. A vinyl collector and musical traveler, Yarra explores Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean to unearth forgotten sound treasures and share them with an audience seeking authenticity.
Yarra Sound is the continuation of the WorldWild Soundsystem project, co-founded with Guillaume Steppin and later joined by Leo Sundo—a collective founded in Montreal in 2017 with a hand-built sound system. It has organized events celebrating Reggae, Dub, and Afro-Caribbean music—always driven by a spirit of sharing and musical exploration: conscious, danceable, and carrying a message of Peace and Unity.
Over the years, the Soundsystem has received with major figures on the international scene, such as Channel One, Blackboard Jungle, Salomon Heritage, King Shiloh, Jah Observer, and Analog Africa, sharing unique selections where Reggae Roots, tropical vibrations, and rare discoveries meet.
With Yarra Sound, this adventure takes on a new dimension:
🔊 A handcrafted Soundsystem, designed for an immersive sound experience.
📻 A web radio, for a musical journey across eras and cultures.
